ABSTRACT

A simple sampling technique was developed for the impurity substances analysis in thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The sample of impurity substances was cut from the TPU and was interposed between the aluminum foil and a Teflon sheet. Thermal pressing was performed for ca. 10 s at 240°C. The Teflon sheet was removed from the sample pressed on the aluminum foil. The pressed sample could be directly analyzed by the microscopy-FTIR with reflection measurement.
