The fourth meeting in the series “Current Issues in Blood Substitute Research” will be held on June 6–8, 2002 at the Berns Conference Center, Stockholm, Sweden. The theme of this conference will be “The Role of Oxygen Car riers in Shock and Trauma Resuscitation.” A special half-day symposium will address this subject, followed by a round table discussion. Other topics, related to the development, properties and clinical application of oxygen carriers will also be presented.
