The fourth meeting in the series “CURRENT ISSUES IN BLOOD SUBSTITUTE RESEARCH” will be held on June 6–8, 2002, at the Berns Conference Center, Stockholm, Sweden. The theme of this conference will be “The Role of Oxygen Carriers in Shock and Trauma Resuscitation.” A special half-day symposium will address this subject, followed by a roundtable discussion. Other topics related to the development, properties, and clinical application of oxygen carriers will also be presented.
