ABSTRACT
N-(1-Naphthyl)-3,4-methylenedioxybenzylidinehomophthalisoimidium perchlorate 6 was obtained via treatment of N-(1-naphthyl)-3,4-methylenedioxybenzylidine homophthalamic acid 5 with perchloric acid in acetic anhydride. The behaviour of 6 towards active methylene-containing compounds, Grignard reagents and aromatic primary amines and hydrocarbons, has been investigated.
