Abstract

The regioselective synthesis of 2,3,4,5‐tetrahydro‐1H‐1,4‐benzodiazepin‐5‐ones by the Schmidt rearrangement of 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydro‐4‐quinolones with oxygen substituents at C‐8 is described.
