Abstract

Oxydation of β‐hydroxy‐F‐alkylated sulfurs into the corresponding sulfoxides is achieved by hydrogen peroxide in the presence of titanium trichloride. The new fluorinated sulfoxides are obtained chemoselectivety and are submitted to the Pummerer reaction.
