Abstract
Oxime ligands were synthesized using 2-hydroxy-1-napthaldehyde and 2′,4′-dihydroxy-acetophenone. Vanadyl and uranyl complexes of these oximes were synthesized having the metal:ligand stoichiometry 1:2. The ligands and their metal complexes were characterised for various analytical parameters and spectral features. The structures of these complexes were proposed on the basis of UV-Vis, IR and ESR spectral data.
