Abstract
Niobium(V) complexes [NbCl3L] (where LH2 ˭thiocarbohydrazones derived from thiocarbohydrazide with salicylaldehyde, 5-CH3, 5-Cl, 5-Br, 3-OCH3 substituted salicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde) have been synthesised and characterised on the basis of elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, IR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR and thermal studies. The ligands behave as dibasic tetradeńtate ONNO donors.
