Representation of the Helmholtz equation solution in the form of a series based on backscattering multiplicity

Abstract

The representation of the Helmholtz equation solution in the form of a series based on backscattering multiplicity is considered. New methods for calculating wave fields propagating in inhomogeneous media, which have been developed on the basis of this series, are presented. The results that have been obtained using these new methods are briefly described.
