Adrenal gland disease in ferrets

ABSTRACT:

Adrenal gland disease (AGD) is a common problem in ferrets. This paper will discuss the proposed aetiology and prevention of this disease. As well as briefly discussing AGD diagnosis and therapy, it will focus on the role of the veterinary nurse in these cases.

John qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1990 and gained an RCVS Certificate in Zoological Medicine in 2000. John is director of a small animal/exotics practice in Andover, Hampshire. He is the co-editor of two texts on avian medicine and author of various book chapters and papers on a range of species.
