Abstract

The aim of the present study is to analyse, by descriptive and sequential analysis, the educational interactions of a mother with her three year-old-twin sons in three different tasks: building a puzzle, reading a book and talking about the puzzle. One child has normal hearing while the other has mild hearing loss (30 dB hearing threshold). The results reflect that the mother paid more attention to the child with hearing loss and better promoted his development. These results are discussed in terms of their implications for parenting twins and parenting children with mild hearing loss.
