Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad ofrecer algunas consideraciones sobre el efecto que está teniendo la introducción de los ordenadores en la alfabetización. Actualmente se está llevando a cabo una investigación en ese sentido en una región de México, de la cual expondremos algunos avances, en la que se parte de la realidad concreta donde se desarrolla el proceso educativo, lo que hace más evidente la importancia de la perspectiva histórico cultural para la problemática a tratar. En dicha investigación se intenta identificar la funcionalidadreal de la lectoescritura y su vinculación con los sistemas de actividad de la comunidad, para conocer el papel que el ordenador tiene dentro de ellos. Los primeros resultados apuntan a una fuerte ruptura entre el mundo de la escuela y el mundo real, así como una presencia significativa de los efectos de los ordenadores en la vida cotidiana pero no en el ámbito escolar, donde siguen siendo considerados únicamente como contenidos.
Abstract
The effects of computers on literacy is discussed based on a research study being carried out in a region in Mexico. In this study the educational process that takes place within the specific reality present in this region, highlights the importance of adopting a historic-cultural perspective. This paper presents some initial results. The study attempts to identify the real function of reading and writing and its relation with the community's different activities, in order to understand the role of computers in this particular environment. The first results indicate a lack of continuity between the school and the outside world. There is a meaningful presence of computers in everyday life but not in the school, where they continue to be regarded only as a content.
