The Relative Chronology of Khirbet Qeiyafa

Pages 79-83 | Published online: 19 Jul 2013

Abstract

The pottery unearthed in the Iron Age settlement at Khirbet Qeiyafa has been dated by the excavators to the early iron IIA period. They further state that the site provides the best example of early iron IIA pottery in Judah and southern Israel (Kang and Garfinkel 2009a). The paper shows that the assemblage belongs to the late iron I horizon in southern Israel.
