Abstract

This study tests the bond behaviour between fibre bundles and self-stressing concrete, and the bending properties of a textile reinforced self-stressing concrete one-way sheet under four-point loading in order to understand the enhancement mechanism associated with textile reinforced self-stressing concrete. The results show that the ultimate pull force increases by increasing the initial bond length. The bond behaviour between the textile and the self-stressing concrete is superior to that of textiles and common concrete. The cracking load of the textile reinforced self-stressing concrete sheets is greater than that of textile reinforced concrete sheets. Based on the plane section assumption, the analysis of cracking capacity and ultimate bearing capacity of textile reinforced self-stressing concrete are performed. The calculation results are congruent with the experimental results.
