Abstract

High strength sheet metals have been widely applied in automobile and aerospace industries for their light weight. However, the formability and forming behaviour of high strength sheet metals remain still unclear. In this paper, we mainly focus the research on the springback of high strength sheet metals via a servo press which can precisely control the speeds, loads and displacements. The research shows that the load, displacement and multiple hit bending can control the springback effectively, the extension of holding time cannot reduce the amount of the springback dramatically and the forming speed almost does not affect the springback.
