Starting with this issue, we are increasing the number of issues from 5 to 6 per year. This is in response to the increasing number of articles that are submitted to Cochlear Implants International. This will enable us to reduce any delay in publication of these articles in the printed version of the journal although, of course, articles are immediately published online as Advance Articles following acceptance and the correction of proofs. During 2013 we also published 4 supplements, based on special topics or extended peer-reviewed abstracts from congresses, alongside the 5 regular issues of the journal.
In 2014, all online content for Cochlear Implants International will be hosted on a new online platform called Maney Online, which can be viewed at http://www.maneyonline.com/cim. This includes Advance Articles and the full online archive, as well as all newly published issues.
As always we are very grateful for the dedicated support of our Editorial Board and also of our reviewers. From the next issue we will be publishing annually a list of all those who have submitted reviews during the previous year, to express our thanks.
We must also extend our thanks to all the authors who submit to the journal. Without their contributions, we would not be able to disseminate the important work being done with cochlear implants and other implantable electronic hearing devices in a variety of different disciplines.
Cochlear Implants International was founded by the British Cochlear Implant Group and is their official journal. We continue to be most grateful for their support, as well as the support from our affiliated organisations.
For non-subscribers, Abstracts and Editorials are available online free of charge at http://www.maneyonline.com/cim. It is also possible to sign up for Table of Contents alerts, which are sent automatically following the online publication of an issue.
