Abstract
In this paper, TiO2–WO3 hybrid film was fabricated by a simple dip coating method. The synthesised hybrid thin film was characterised by SEM, XRD, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrophotometer, Raman spectroscopy, photocurrent measurement and N2 adsorption/desorption. The TiO2–WO3 hybrid film exhibited a significant enhancement of photocatalytic activity towards degradation of 4-chlorophenol under visible light. The enhanced photocatalytic performance could ascribe to the formation of heterojunction, benefiting for effective utilisation of solar energy and suppressing the recombination of photogenerated electron–hole pairs.
