Acaulon granulosum, a new species in the Acaulon muticum complex: a comparison and key to Australian species

Pages 257-268 | Published online: 18 Jul 2013

Abstract

A new species, Acaulon granulosum, is described from Victoria and Western Australia. It is compared with other species in the Acaulon muticum complex from which it differs in the larger spores with coarsely warty ornamentation, the costa excurrent in a reddish recurved cusp and the mostly larger lamina cells. A key to Australian smooth-celled Acaulon species is provided.
