Abstract
Gerontology has a future in business and industry because its professional agenda, aging studies, and the development and marketing of strategies for an aging workforce coincide with workplace needs. Gerontologists are prepared to educate and counsel employees on pre-re-tirement and retirement issues; initiate, administer, and advise on aging research projects; serve as geriatric care managers for adult children and their aging relatives; and manage older clients' social service/health care needs as members of interdisciplinary teams administering financial trusts and estates.
