ABSTRACT
The global connection is a pedagogical project designed for use in the business curricula, at three disparate academic institutions in Denmark and the United States, incorporating video teleconferencing technology to provide a cost effective use of guest speakers in the academic setting. Experiences in using distance learning technology at the three academic institutions, Coastline College, the Copenhagen Business School, and National University, are compared and contrasted in the form of case studies. In all, the project consisted of six diverse video teleconference programs, scheduled throughout the 1994-95 academic year. The global connection has long-term implications that will show the effectiveness and applicability of using this new technology in a variety of teaching applications.
