Critical Roles and Responsibilities of the Leader in a Therapy Group for Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

ABSTRACT

This article identifies critical roles associated with leadership of a therapy group for adult survivors of child sexual abuse. These include convening the group, working in the here-and-now, and professional use of self. Case examples drawn from the author's own work with groups for survivors are provided, and where available, relevant research is cited.
