A Case Study of Accreditation of Prior Learning in Ministerial Training

Abstract

The Ministry Division of the Church of England has recently published guidelines on the use of AP(E)L in ministry training. This article is a case study of APL in a Ministry course run by the Oxford Diocese with Oxford Brookes University. It gives examples of APL and discusses the issues that this raises. Its conclusions are positive about the use of APL while acknowledging that it is consuming of staff time.
