Abstract
A pustule is defined as a circumscribed, elevated lesion filled with purulent fluid, less than 1 cm in size. Although its definition makes no reference to the ethiology of the lesion, is not always easy to bear in mind that ‘all that is pustule is not always an infection’. The aim of this review is to serve as an up-to-date guide for the management of noninfectious neonatal pustular disorders. Although infectious causes will be mentioned, a thorough description of these entities is beyond the scope of this article.

*Since its etiology is still controversial, neonatal cephalic pustulosis has been considered to be in both groups.
