At the authors request, the Editor and Publisher of Cancer Management and Research wish to retract the published article. Following publication of the Expression of Concern for their article, the authors contacted the journal but were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for any similarities observed between tumor figures presented in this article, and tumor figures presented in articles by different authors groups. In addition, the authors were unable to provide adequate original data for their study and requested to retract the article.
Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction.
The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
