The Editor and Publisher of Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment wish to retract the published article. Following publication, it has been brought to our attention that the data in this article was previously published in a research thesis titled ‘Prevalence and associated factors of postpartum depression among fathers who come to postnatal follow up clinic with their partner in selected public health centers of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2019’ (http://etd.aau.edu.et/handle/123456789/21371) and submitted to Addis Ababa University by Getaye Worku as fulfillment of a master’s degree. It appears the authors of the published article may have changed the title of the thesis and altered details of the study area from Addis Ababa to Wolaita Zone.

The authors responded to our queries and but were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the similarities. The decision was made to retract the article and the authors have been notified of this.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
