Following publication of the Research Article by Hongbo Liu, Yan Gan, Yanheng Wu, Hui Weng, Ping Lei & Guanxin Shen, titled ‘Effects of different lysis buffers of nucleic acid purification kit on the stability of influenza virus RNA‘, which appeared in the June 2014 issue of Future Virology (9[6], 549–555 [2014]; www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.2217/fvl.14.39), it has come to our attention that Table 1 was presented incorrectly as:

Duplicate samples with discrepant results were retested in duplicate, and a sample was deemed positive or negative when at least two of three results were the same. A plus (+) represents a positive reaction and a minus (−) represents a negative reaction.

^‡Results of duplicate samples assayed by conventional RT-PCR were reported as Experiment 1/Experiment 2.
