Antral Aspiration

Pages 237-241 | Received 23 Dec 1980, Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

In sinus research, aspirated undiluted antral secretion has long been used for quantitative analysis. The antral aspiration technique descsribed here is also a convenient method in diagnostic and therapeutic routine. Compared with antral irrigation, the aspiration technique provides a more detailed picture of the sinus state, which can facilitate further management of the sinusitis.
