Abstract

The pharmacokinetics and metabolism of omeprazole have been studied to varying extents in the mouse, rat and dog. Certain substituted benzimidazoles have been shown to be inhibitors of the hepatic microsomal mono-oxygenases (1). The inhibitory effect of omeprazole has been studied in vitro and in vivo in the rat.
