Abstract
Four cases of arteriovenous fistula in th; renal parenchyma following percutaneous renal biopsy in uremic patients are described. The effect on the renal blood flow was studied with a dye-dilution technique. Although in all cases the fistulas were located peripherally in the kidney, a considerable redistribution of the blood flow could be demonstrated, resulting in decreased flow through the renal parenchyma. The diminished blood flow gave rise to decreased function of the affected kidney.
