Clinical Use of the Acoustic Impedance Meter

Pages 40-43 | Published online: 12 Oct 2009

Abstract

There are two types of instrument available at present for the examination of the acoustic impedance of the ear. One is the Zwislocki bridge, which is able to measure the impedance of the ear in absolute terms. The other is the electro-acoustic bridge, the best known example of which is the Madsen Acoustic Impedance Meter.
