Abstract
Smooth pursuit eye movements and visual suppression of the vestibulo-ocular reflex are thought to be functionally and directionally related.
A patient with agenesis of the left hemicerebellum, ipsiversive defective smooth pursuit and insufficient VVORS for rotation to the contralateral side is presented.
The present paper illustrates a 'wrong way' failure of the VVORS and suggests a separation between smooth pursuit and VVORS pathways within the cerebellum.
