Abstract

In the surgery of burns a good healing of donor areas is essential. A controlled trial of 93 cases is presented: Symmetrical donor areas in the same patient were treated on one side with Fucidin tulle gras®, on the other side with Jelonet®, Carbonet®, Trex®, Haemodangauze, Furazingauze or else was left completely exposed. Healing time and quality of the skin after healing is estimated, and bacteriological control has been carried out. It is concluded that the most rapid and most solid healing is obtained with Fucidin and Jelonet.
