On So-Called Median Lowerlip Sinuses: Case Report

Abstract

In one case, the so-called median lower lip sinus appeared at operation to be in its deeper part bipartite— like a pair of trousers. In another case, the isolated sinus was slightly asymmetrical, but was not distinctly unilateral. There seem to be distinct transitional forms between median sinuses, which have proved impossible to account for on the basis of embryonic development, and lateral sinuses. Consequently, the anomaly in question seems to be one and the same as far as embryonic development is concerned.
