Abstract
A specific and precise high-performance liquid chromatographic method is described for the simultaneous analysis of probenecid and colchicine in table t dosage form containing 500 mg probenecid and 0.5 mg colchicine. The method involved a reversed-phase chromatography using a mobile phase of 55:45, methanol-phosphate buffer (pH 3.0), delivered at 1.2 ml/minute. The detector range was 244 nm.
