The Editors and Publisher regret to announce the following article published in 2008 has been retracted from publication in International Journal of Food Sciences & Nutrition:

This article has been found to have been previously published with minor changes to wording by Springer, Part of Springer Science + Business Media, in 2007, within the journal Plant Foods for Human Nutrition:

Mullie P, Clarys P, Deriemaeker P, Hebbelinck M. Estimation of daily human intake of food flavonoids. Plant Foods Hum Nutr. 2007 Sep;62(3):93–98. Epub 2007 Jun 28. (doi:10.1007/s11130-007-0047-7).

The authors have been co-operative with our investigations and agree with the Editor and Publisher on this course of action to correct the redundancy in the literature record.

The journal’s policy in this respect is clear: International Journal of Food Sciences & Nutrition considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to International Journal of Food Sciences & Nutrition, that they have neither been published already, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere.

The International Journal of Food Sciences & Nutrition published this article in good faith, and on the basis of signed statements of the corresponding author regarding the originality and ethical reliability of their work. The article is withdrawn from all print and electronic editions.
