Abstract

Hypertension is common: 18% of the U.S. adult population is affected.1 Hypertension is serious and a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease.2,3,4 The condition is relatively simple to detect and is usually treatable medically. More importantly, treatment diminishes cardiovascular risk.5,6
