Summary

Within only a few years of the first description by Dubois in 1990 [1], laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become the treatment of choice for symptomatic cholelithiasis. In the first few years after the development of a new surgical technique new complications are described, the most common in the first few months and the rarer ones over the following years. We describe three new complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
