Environmental Correlates of Language Retardation Part 1: A Research Review

Pages 102-106 | Published online: 10 Jul 2009

Abstract

The aetiology of mental retardation has been studied extensively by medical scientists. It is possible for such researchers to carry out rigorous studies with a relatively high degree of precision. The outcomes of their work can lead to a much clearer understanding of the causative factors involved, and aid in the treatment (or even the elimination) of some conditions.
