Sharing Knowledge of Language with Children and Parents

Pages 3-10 | Published online: 03 Jul 2009

Abstract

As therapists become involved in language, rather than speech development, collaboration with parents and teachers is all the more vital if therapy is to be effective. This paper atempts to identify key factors to successful language intervention with children and argues that these are just as applicable for communicating this knowledge to others. An example is given of how this approach could evolve in practice.

The things we know best are the things we haven't been taught.
