Abstract
Non-selective coronary arteriography was performed pre-operatively in 43 patients and 1 year after myocardial revascularizing surgical procedure in 25 of the patients (modified Beck operation and diaphragm graft operation). The conclusion of the investigation was that definitely more collaterals developed in the graft group than in the Beck group. In the Beck group 2 patients out of 8 were arteriographically judged as “better” 1 year after surgery, whereas in the graft group the corresponding numbers were 12 patients “better” out of 17.
