Potholes on the Information Highway

Pages 1-3 | Published online: 27 Sep 2008

Abstract

We have observed elsewhere that one of the cleverest marketing positions of this century has been the impression that computers save time.1 To reiterate, all computer hardware and software sales personnel advertise their products on this basis. This positioning has become so entrenched in the mind of the consumer that it is now taken for granted.

But perhaps this marketing positioning is just one of many pot holes on the information highway.
