Abstract
In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of glyphosate on the lysozyme (LYZ), immunoglobulin M (IgM) and complement C3 (C3) in the liver and spleen of common carp following 52.08 or 104.15 mgL−1 of glyphosate exposure for 1 and 7 d, respectively. The results showed that both LYZ transcription and activity were suppressed in the liver and spleen from the glyphosate-treated fish at the end of test. Moreover, glyphosate exposure also altered the transcription or content of IgM and C3 in the liver and spleen from the treated fish. These results indicate that glyphosate exert immunotoxicity on common carp.
