Amino acid content of atmospheric precipitation

Abstract

The examination of rainwater by paper chromatography for amino acid content over a period of several months has established the existence of a persistent and widespread phenomenon in which varying amounts of glycine, valine, alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and leucine-isoleucine are detected.
