On the general analytic solution in the baroclinic instability problem

Abstract

Analytical solutions of the baroclinic instability problem are found for Green's model including compressibility and for Hirota's model formulated in pressure coordinates. Some numerical results corresponding to Green's model are presented in order to study the influence of the compressibility parameter.
