Erratum to William B. Grant et al., Dermato-Endocrinology Volume 1, Issue 4; pp. 223-228

Abstract

In the recent report "Epidemiologic evidence supporting the role of maternal vitamin D deficiency as a risk factor for the development of infantile autism" by William B. Grant and Connie M. Soles (Dermato-Endocrinology 2009; 1:223-8) this note appeared:

"This paper was largely written in 2004 and updated in 2008. Since that time, John J. Cannell has added further evidence for a role of vitamin D in reducing the risk of autism. See also his ongoing discussion of the topic at his web site, http://vitamindcouncil.org/."

The note should have been written as follows:

This paper was largely written in 2004. In 2007, John J. Cannell submitted a manuscript on autism and vitamin D which was published online in 2007 and in print in 2008.2 The first author told him about his work and Dr. Cannell suggested that he post it as his web site and also try to get it published. The work was updated in 2008 and published as Ref. 1.
