M. Izzard M. Izzard is a research student studying for a Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at the University of Aston in Birmingham. He is working on the production of electroless nickel composite coatings—co—operating with W. Canning Materials Ltd. Previously he has been employed by George Fisher Casting Ltd and Foseco F. S. Ltd.

J. K. Dennis Dr J. K. Dennis is a senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at the University of Aston in Birmingham. He is a member of several IMF committees and has been involved in metal finishing research for many years.

J.F.W. Bell Professor J. F. W. Bell was a Reader in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Aston University and is now at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
