- We prefer the terms “chemomechanical reaction” and “chemomech-anical system” instead of “mechanochemical” proposed by Ka A.-chalsky because they are more precise and avoid confusion with other terminology. Note that mechanochemical reaction often refers to a chemical reaction induced by mechanical stress fracture to give radicals and a crosslinked formation.
