- Edwards and Haime . 1851 . Pol. Foss. des Terr. Pal. , : 54 – 54 . mention a coral found at Button Mould Knobs, near Louisville, Kentucky, which they say is the same as E. parasitica. E. de Fromental, 1869 (Introd. à l'Etude des Pol. Foss.), p. 269, therefore, quotes that locality as one in which the species occurs.
