- It is interesting to note that, in addition to the phrase “Our English method”, Talbot also used the phrase, “But in our process”. He was either using an extremely polite form of English to Herschel or else acknowledging Herschel’s direct but unexplained contribution towards the latest version of Talbot’s process.
