  • This and the following three reviews are interrelated. As Professor Campbell indicates, Gadamer's work provides a rationale for “human sciences” research grounded in hermeneutic phenomenology. The books by Mehan and Wood, Douglas, and Bogdan and Taylor outline applications of that rationale, applications with considerable potential utility for the speech communication scholar. JS.
